Daretrucky is a marketplace that connects customers who need something moved with independent drivers across the United States, Mexico, and Canada. These terms govern your use of daretrucky.com, the Daretrucky Driver app at /driver, and related services operated by Stephen Afolabi.
Customers and drivers must create their own accounts. You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you submit, for keeping your password secret, and for activity on your account. We may suspend an account that we reasonably believe is abusive, fraudulent, or unsafe.
A customer listing can collect driver quotes or post a set offer that more than one driver may accept. The customer may raise or lower that offer until they pay. Customers may view a driver’s Daretrucky profile and reviews, and may send a private message to a driver who quoted or accepted, separate from the listing thread. Those messages must not include phone numbers, Gmail, or other contact details. After the customer pays, Daretrucky shows both parties the official phone and email from their accounts so they can coordinate the move. After they pick one of the drivers who accepted, they pay that offer plus a Daretrucky service fee. Optional Daretrucky Protection can be added when listing (or while the listing is still unpaid) by declaring the value of the load; that protection fee is charged by Daretrucky and is not paid to the driver. Quotes and offers come from independent drivers, not from Daretrucky. When a customer pays, that booking is a contract between the customer and the driver. Daretrucky is not the carrier, broker of record, or shipper, and does not take possession of freight.
Customers pay the chosen driver quote plus a Daretrucky service fee. The same service fee is also taken from the driver payout. The fee depends on the size of the booking (smaller loads pay more, larger loads pay less). If the customer added Daretrucky Protection, the protection fee is also due at checkout and is Daretrucky revenue. Driver payouts do not include the protection fee. After delivery, the customer has 3 hours to release payment. If they do not, Daretrucky automatically releases the payout to the driver, unless the customer puts the payment on hold pending a Daretrucky investigation because they are not satisfied with the service. Customers pay with a debit card only through Stripe Checkout when the app is live (credit cards are refunded). Daretrucky stores last four digits only, never the full card or bank number. Drivers receive payouts through Stripe Connect to a bank they connect on Stripe.
Daretrucky Protection is optional coverage offered by the app. If you select it, you must declare the value of the shipment. The protection fee shown at checkout is billed with the booking and is Daretrucky revenue, not driver pay. Declining protection means checkout is the driver price plus the service fee only. Daretrucky Protection is not a substitute for a motor carrier’s cargo policy, and coverage details may be limited in this marketplace demo.
Independent drivers must register a truck or van that can carry at least 4,000 lbs, upload an unexpired license, and verify email. Authority carriers must provide a company name, USDOT and MC numbers that we check against FMCSA, and unexpired commercial insurance. You represent that you are legally allowed to operate and to haul the loads you quote.
When Stripe is configured, debit-card charges are processed by Stripe Checkout and driver payouts are sent with Stripe Connect. Daretrucky does not store full card numbers, CVCs, or full bank routing and account numbers — only last four digits and Stripe ids. Chargebacks, refunds, and disputes are handled in good faith; we may reverse a hold or payout if a payment is reversed.
Do not list illegal items, hazardous materials that require special authority you do not have, or shipments you do not have the right to move. Do not scrape the load board, interfere with other users, or misrepresent your identity, authority, or insurance.
The service is provided as-is. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Daretrucky is not liable for lost cargo, delay, driver conduct, or indirect damages. Our aggregate liability for a claim relating to the platform is limited to the Daretrucky fees you paid in the 12 months before the claim.
