Privacy Policy

What we collect

• Account details: name, email, phone, and a hashed password.
• Shipment details: pickup and delivery places, item photos, dimensions, and notes you type.
• Driver details: vehicle or authority information, USDOT/MC numbers, license or insurance uploads, and quotes.
• Clock-in workers: name, email, phone, and a hashed password. Applications are reviewed privately before a worker can clock in. Clock punches are stored to calculate hours by day for payroll.
• Admin dashboard applications: name, email, phone, address, driver license number, last four digits of Social Security number, and a hashed password. Full SSNs are not stored. Applications are reviewed privately before the applicant can sign in to the dashboard.
• Payment methods: Stripe processes live debit cards and driver bank payouts. Daretrucky stores last four digits and Stripe customer/Connect ids only — never full card numbers, CVCs, or full bank account numbers. Payment records also store amounts.
• Technical data: session cookies, and basic request logs needed to run the service.

How we use it

We use this information to run the marketplace: matching listings with drivers, charging the quoted amount plus the service fee, holding funds for 3 hours after delivery (or longer if you place an investigation hold), sending verification email, showing live tracking, and improving safety (including FMCSA lookups for authority carriers).

Sharing

Customers and drivers see the information needed to complete a booked move (phone and email after payment, tracking, and messages). In-app messages that include contact details are blocked. We share payment data with Stripe when live payments are on, and we query FMCSA for USDOT/MC verification. We do not sell personal information.

Cookies

Daretrucky sets httpOnly session cookies (daretrucky_session for customers,daretrucky_driver_session for drivers, and daretrucky_staff_session for approved staff) so you stay signed in. They are not used for advertising.

Retention and security

Listings, messages, and payout records stay in our database for as long as your account exists or as needed for disputes and bookkeeping. Passwords are stored with scrypt. Production deployments should set DARETRUCKY_SECRET and serve the site over HTTPS so session cookies are marked Secure.

Your choices

You can update account details from the app. To request a copy or deletion of your account data, email afolabistephen20@gmail.com. We may keep records we are required to keep for legal or payment reasons.
